The four leading Luxembourg retail banks and Digicash Payments have launched a P2P payments feature called Digicash TRANSFER.

Users can send up to €10,000 to a recipient’s mobile phone number, using secure SEPA

credit transfers as the underlying payment channel. For Luxembourg bank clients, transferring money is now as easy as sending a text message.

The operator of Luxembourg’s mobile payment scheme, Digicash Payments, has partnered with Luxembourg’s main retail banks (BCEE, POST Luxembourg, BIL and BGL BNP Paribas) to launch the P2P payments service.
